At the core of this course are the essential principles and elements of floral design. Once you have mastered these skills there is no end to your learning and creations.

All flowers and equipment supplied, plus tea and coffee, soft drinks and snacks.

Week 1- Round seasonal posy design- This is made in a small, unseen plastic dish, with floral foam, and the finished shape is round and domed. They can be made in any colour scheme and suit most flower types. Every stem should appear to be radiating from the center.

Week 2- Triangle Arrangement- A popular floral arrangement style, in the shape of a triangle and generally viewed from one side; may be both symmetrical and asymmetrical in form; examples include equilateral, isosceles, scalene, and right triangles. vertical design/style

Week 3- Hand tied and Wrapping- refers to a bouquet constructed by taking the individual flower stems and arranging them directly in one's hand to form the arrangement, usually be spiraling the stems. Once the arrangement is complete the stems are tied ready for wrapping.

Week 4- Linear or Line arrangement- are adaptations of Japanese flower arrangement styles, where a linear pattern dominates. Line arrangements are characterized by their minimalist design, using only a few plant materials to emphasize the beauty of either the flowers or foliage.

Week 5- Hat box design- A hatbox arrangement expertly created with a stunning arrangement of blooms. Perfectly selected to compliment each other to showcase a fuller textured design, displayed in a charmingly sophisticated hat box.

Week 6- Vegetative Design-Vegetative design is a design style that is based on “natural growth.” It is a more of a wild, untamed look than an ordered and curated one. It is another amazing technique/approach that will impress people and increase your floral designing options.
